Privacy Policy

• Account and authentication data. Your email address, password credentials handled by our authentication provider, your name if you provide it, and sign-in metadata such as timestamps. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from that sign-in.
• Profile and workspace preferences. Display name, time zone, default business and similar settings you choose.
• Content you create. Businesses, projects, tasks, milestones, content items, goals, notes and files you upload, and money records such as transactions and subscription/tool entries. This is your data; you decide what to put in.
• Platform account metadata. Labels you add to describe accounts on external platforms such as Etsy, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok or Shopify — for example platform name, display name, handle, an external account identifier, status and notes.
• Integration connection metadata. When you choose to connect a third-party platform, we store records describing the connection, its provider, the permission scopes you granted, and sync or health status. We also store the data the integration pulls on your behalf, such as shop listings, orders, sales context, channel or page statistics, and Pinterest boards. This data is stored in your account and treated as your content.
• Technical data. Standard server and error logs generated when the app runs, used to keep the service working.

We do not run advertising trackers, analytics trackers or cookie-based profiling in the product. We do not collect your browsing history outside Creator Compass.

Creator Compass can connect to third-party platforms through OAuth or API integrations that you authorize. Examples include Etsy, YouTube, Facebook/Instagram and Pinterest. You choose which connections to make, and you can disconnect them at any time from the app settings.

What we request. We ask only for the permissions needed for the features you turn on. For example, a read-only connection may request scopes that let us import sales context, account names, boards or analytics. We do not request permissions to post or publish on your behalf unless a future feature explicitly needs them and you choose to enable it.

What we receive. The data we receive depends on the platform and the scopes you grant. It typically includes identifiers, names, counts, dates and other business-context data. It does not include payment card numbers, bank account details or passwords from the connected platform.

Credentials and tokens. Access tokens, refresh tokens and similar secret material for integrations are held only in server-side secure storage. They are not written into ordinary application tables and are not sent to or readable by your browser. Application code reads them only through server-side functions.

• To provide the product: authenticate you, store and display your records, and show connected-platform context you have imported.
• To operate, maintain, debug and improve the service.
• To send account and service email, such as sign-up confirmation and password reset.
• To protect the service against abuse and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to advertise to you.

We share information only with service providers that help us run Creator Compass, and only as needed for them to perform that work. These currently include our hosting and application platform, our managed database, authentication and file storage provider, and our transactional email provider. When you enable a third-party integration, we exchange data with that platform as required for the feature you enabled.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will let account holders know.

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for an early-stage product: encrypted connections, database access rules that scope records to the account that owns them, and a server-only boundary for integration credentials. No online service can promise perfect security, and we do not claim any security certification or audit.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. You can edit or delete individual records inside the app at any time. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data and content within a reasonable period, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation. Backups and logs may retain copies for a limited additional period before they age out.

• Access and correct most of your information directly in the app.
• Export or delete records you created.
• Disconnect third-party integrations from the app settings at any time.
• Request account deletion, or ask what personal data we hold, using the contact details on our support page.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law. We will honor valid requests to the extent the law requires.

Creator Compass is intended for adults running a business or creative practice. It is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Creator Compass is operated with infrastructure that may process and store data in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. By using the service you understand your information may be transferred and processed in those locations under this policy.

We may update this policy as the product develops. We will change the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell account holders in the app or by email.
